Doctrinal Statement

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in all matters of life and faith.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom is possessed of all the distinctively divine attributes.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, are held responsible to God for their sins. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan.

We believe that God the Son became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ, who was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, that He was bodily resurrected, that He ascended into heaven, and that He now acts for us as High Priest, Intercessor and Advocate.

We believe that whosoever by faith, apart from works of any kind, receives the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior is “born from above”, and is justified through His shed blood and becomes a child of God.

We believe that although all born-again believers still possess the sinful Adamic nature in this life, they are also a new creation “created in Christ Jesus for good works" and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit who regenerates, seals and sets them apart to a new life. When believers sin, it affects their fellowship with God (but not their salvation). Believers may restore their fellowship with God by confessing their sins to Him, since He has promised to forgive them.

We believe that Christians should strive in their acts and conduct to be “shining lights" to the world for the glory of God, remembering that they are ambassadors for Christ on earth. As Christians, we are to worship God, obey His commandments and refrain from evil.

We believe that all who are born-again are members of the universal church, of which Christ is the head, regardless of organizational affiliation. We believe that Christ ordained the observance of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper until He returns.

We believe that God heals in answer to believing prayer in accordance with His sovereign discretion and will. Healing cannot be claimed by the believer on the same basis of faith that salvation is claimed. The fact that God does not heal is not necessarily an indication of unbelief or of sin in the believers life.

We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rapture the Church before the Great Tribulation. After the seven years of Jacob’s Trouble (Daniels Seventieth Week) the Church will return with the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth to rule with Him a thousand years.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the unending blessedness of the saved, and the unending punishment of the lost.
